Dance Dance Dance!

There is a lot of dancing going on in our community at the moment!

The Tawa Music Festival was a wonderful event and it was great to see some of our kids up there doing a fantastic job dancing along side the older children.

We also had a very successful disco, the kids at Redwood School have some great moves!

If you are interested in DANCE there are lots of good books in our library, Mrs B has done a wonderful display so be sure to check it out.

Reading Aloud at Redwood School

Reading aloud to children is the best way to prepare children for learning to read and to keep them reading as they learn and grow. It’s fun - and worth continuing well beyond the early years.

For the past several years at Redwood School we have had a Reading Aloud initiative.  Twice a term the teachers all head out after morning tea to read to a different class for 15 minutes.  This term our focus has been poetry.  The children love seeing other teachers in their rooms and enjoy being read too.

"I like it when different teachers read different, cool and funny stories."
